On Friday 4th October, Milwards participated in the Dodgeball Qualifiers Event at Mark Hall Sports Centre. Milwards were put into a group against Cooks Spinney, Henry Moore and Freshwaters. Each match involved three short two minute games with the winning team being awarded three points and the losing team gaining one point. The first game was against a strong Cooks Spinney team, the children quickly adapted to the rules of the game and narrowly lost two games to one. The second match was against Henry Moore. After losing the first game, Milwards showed their determination to eventually run out winners by two games to one. The final game was against Freshwaters, the children played brilliantly and the match finished 2-1 to Milwards. After all the matches had been played it was announced that Milwards finished second in their group behind Cooks Spinney with a total of seven points. It was a great morning and the children demonstrated some impressive Dodgeball skills alongside fantastic team work.
On Friday 20th September, Milwards participated in the Futsal Qualifiers Event at Mark Hall Sports Centre. The first game was a friendly against Purford Green, the children quickly adapted to the rules of Futsal and ran out 3-0 winners. The second match was a group game against a strong Church Langley team, where they tried very hard but eventually lost 4-1. The second group game Milwards knew they had to win, and beat St Nicholas 4-1, playing some lovely Futsal throughout.
