Holly won the prize for best costume in Ash Class on World Book Day.
We have been looking at the artist Jackson Pollock. We tried creating our own pictures in the same style as his.
Whoops-A-Daisy Angel Our Christmas show this year was a great success and everyone enjoyed it.
London Zoo was so much fun. We saw lots of animals, had lots of food stops and met Santa. We also got to meet the wise men, Mary and her little baby Jesus (we even sang Twinkle Twinkle to him) and we met the shepherds who were very funny. It was a long day but we had a fabulous time, some of us had a little sleep on the coach home.
We were exploring magnets. We used the magnet and a paper clip to mix the paint. We had some rules, we were not allowed to touch the paint or the paper clip with our fingers. It was good fun!
We enjoyed sharing a book with our friend. They were fact books. We used the pictures to help us to find out facts about jungle animals.
We got to meet some birds of Prey. Some of us were very lucky and got to hold one.
We have been exploring circuits in Ash class. We have been trying to make a bulb light up or a buzzer to make a noise. It was a bit tricky but we all had a good go.
We went into town to visit Pizza Express. We travelled up on the bus and were super sensible. We all made a delicious pizza and when we got back to school we ate them. There wasn't very much left over to share with our families.
Look at what we have been up to.
Today it was really exciting because Year six came to spend some time with us playing games, sharing stories and being good examples. We want to do it again.
What a fabulous start we have had to our Reception year. We are looking forward to lots of exciting things over the coming year. Here are a few pictures of some of the bits we have been up to.
