Breakfast & After School Club

Kids Stop from January 2018

We are pleased to announce several important changes to the Milwards breakfast and after-school club, which we hope will better support the busy working lives of our parents and carers.

From January 2018, the club will be known as Kids Stop. The morning session will now open at the earlier time of 7.30am and children will be offered breakfast until 8.15am. Children will go straight to class from the club, so you can be reassured that they are supervised within the school building from the moment they arrive. With these extended hours, the cost for the morning session is now £2.50.

The afternoon session will run from the end of the school day until the later time of 5.45pm, giving parents more time to collect their children at the end of the working day. We will provide a high tea for the children, and the cost of this afternoon session will be £7.00.

You can now pay for Kids Stop via the new scopay system, but if your employer offers Childcare Vouchers these can also be redeemed as payment. The voucher system is easy to set up and is at no extra cost to you or the school. Please contact the school office for a reference for the voucher system.

Full terms and conditions for Kids Stop have been sent with this letter, but I would like to draw your attention to one very important point. While we want parents and carers to make full use of Kids Stop as a cost-effective and convenient way to support their working lives, we must make clear that late collections will incur penalty charges.

Late collections mean staff must be paid to work late, which has a detrimental impact on school finances. To cover these costs, parents will be charged £15 per quarter hour for the additional childcare provided. For example, collecting at 5.55pm will incur a £15 charge; collecting at 6.05pm will incur a £30 charge; and so on.

If you have any questions about Kids Stop, please email me at kerry.barrow@henrymoore.essex.sch.uk.

We hope that parents, carers and children will enjoy making use of the Kids Stop service.
